This extremely well designed course, which opened in 1937, is situated against a tree-covered slope. The superb kikuyu-covered fairways feature numerous hazards and lead to excellent greens. There are 85 bunkers and water comes into play on 11 of the holes.

Beautiful to look at, and very challenging to play, it has been said that Glendower - as a test of golf - is without equal in South Africa.
